If anything the fashion industry is doing a good thing
Anorexia in comparison to obesity in terms of going up in percentages is not an issue at all. The fashion industry promotes what it sees as acceptable way to dress and look like in a public setting therefore the fashion industry has no requirement to promote a "healthy" lifestyle.
