The data that should be included in the Voter Archive typically falls under National Data Sharing and Accessibility Policies (NDSAP), such as the
NDSAP of the Government of India (January, 2012) (as example).
The Policy will define Types of Access (e.g. Open Access, Registered Access and Restricted Access), technical features of the (government) data warehouses, the legal framework that is aligned with various Acts and rules covering the data, pricing and implementation modalities.
Metadata standards will affect the project's business data model and data dictionary (Chapter 07).
One example of implementation is
data.gov.in (Data Portal India
beta) as described in
Government data portal set for take-off (The Hindu, October 1, 2012).
