Immigration and Border Security I strongly oppose amnesty for illegal immigrants. Such legislation will only reward illegal behavior and encourage other immigrants to enter the United States illegally. Respecting the rule of law is a critical aspect of being a U.S. citizen. Our nation must not provide special access to citizenship for those who have broken our laws. Instead, I am committed to a conservative agenda aimed at addressing illegal immigration: - Secure our borders
- Eliminate all government assistance for illegal immigrants
- Enforce current immigration laws—including Arizona’s new immigration law.
I have introduced H.R. 1921, the Build the Fence Now Act, to provide for fencing along the entire U.S.-Mexico border within the next two years. This legislation would also require the use of unmanned aerial vehicles and satellites to monitor the U.S-Mexico border and the U.S-Canada border. America was founded upon the rule of law. The legal pathway to citizenship must be traveled by all those who seek to become a legal resident of our country. |
