If discrimination is present an employer may have to suffer violation.
In a case in which wages, salary, employment benefits, or other compensation have not been denied or lost to the individual, any losses sustained by the individual as a direct result of the violation or amount of a civil penalty of $1,000 per violation per day, whichever is greater will be awarded.
