Make a large contribution to human knowledge Issue1 #146595 We invite you to think big: What is the LARGEST contribution to human knowledge you can think of? |
Contribute to human knowledge by changing the way knowledge work works Normally one can contribute only a single 'person-lifetime' worth of knowledge; by working on the systemic level, one can increase the effects of everyone else's work; this makes the potential for contribution incomparably larger REFLECTION: Consider the thesis that when we allow ourselves to work on the systemic level or 'meta-' level (improving knowledge work), the possibilities for contributing to human knowledge become incomparably larger. For additional information use the first section of the article "Knowledge Federation as a Principle of Social Organization of Knowledge Creation and Sharing" (Proc. of First International Workshop on Knowledge Federation) or view minutes 7 to 11 of the lecture "What is Knowledge Federation" (presented in June 2009 at Trinity College, Dublin). |
