The processes of the globalization of baseball include: global broadcasting of MLB games, global sales of MLB licensed merchandise, MLB programs designed to increase the popularity of baseball globally (e.g., Pitch, Hit, and Run competitions and Baseball Festivals), the relationship between the Latin winter leagues and MLB, and the development of the serious baseball labor market in Latin American. The next sections of this Article look briefly at each of these processes of the globalization of baseball.
