Over the past 20 years, Western Australia’s energy consumption has doubled and will continue to rise. How we meet our growing energy needs is a crucial issue.
The State Government's Strategic Energy Initiative, Energy2031 , is working with industry and the community to develop an ambitious and practical plan that aims to meet our energy needs over the next 20 years.
Energy2031 has four strategic goals:
Secure Energy
Reliable Energy
Competitive Energy
Cleaner Energy
The Directions Paper has been released and the feedback received from the recent consultation period is currently being reviewed.
