Laying claim to the take that our soldiers save
Does not equate, and the truth's already out there While it can be heavily debated, the true cause of the Iraq War cannot be pinpointed. Some say that Iraq had possession of WMDs (when there was none found). Others say that the United States came in to topple the potential terrorist acts from Saddam Hussein to the United States. Others say that the United States invaded purely to stop Iraq from trading oil in Euro currency rather than the US dollar, allowing oil to become more expensive. Because of this, many have said that the Iraq War could not be pinpointed to one specific reason, like the war on Afghanistan (which was to fight terrorism). In addition, the length of the war extended to be longer than originally intended, infuriating many Americans (like Eddie Vedder) about the real purpose of the war. If a war is going on and people are being killed, the public deserves to know the true cause of the war.
George W. Bush said--
"The people of the United States and our friends and allies will not live at the mercy of an outlaw regime that threatens the peace with weapons of mass murder." The Senate committee found that many of the administration's pre-war statements about Iraqi WMD were not supported by the underlying intelligence.
