Health insurance subsidies are bad for the United States Ecomomy (c)
The claim: health insurance subsidies are bad for the US economy
Background: Starting 2014, the US government is going to offer uninsured people who are not poor enough to receive Medicaid benefits to have an ability to purchase affordable healthcare. The program will offer a subsidy (or credit) to citizens eligible for a healthcare plan from an approved provider. The plan will be paid for by cutting Medicare funds (one of the biggest chunks of the US budget) and Medicaid funds. The plan is said to cut deficits off the US budget in cutting Medicare.

It is said that these subsidies will affect the US economy because the economy depends on how well the government is spending its money. When the government fails, the entire economy fails and vice versa.
