Engaging with potential customers for the material, process or product
A materials manufacturer may wish to confidentially engage with its potential customers to understand if they would be interested in this product, what issues and concerns the customer or other end users may have.  If this is done early enough in the process valuable information may be gleaned, and the product, or information to support the use of the product may be fit for purpose.

This engagement will support good practice in Principle 2 - stakeholder relationships and Principle 6 - supplier relationships of the Responsible Nano Code.
