First off id just like to say that in just about every videogame there is simulated social activities in the game, whether it be a friendly voice talking to you and guiding you through a game, to a whole city or group of people that you talk to give orders too and co-operate with. No this isnt actual socialization as in with other human beings but it does help sometimes to break the ice.

But the main social aspect of videogames is something called MULTI PLAYER.

Whether its CO-OP playing

Multi-player one console battles

Or Online gaming

there are in fact many different ways one can be social while playing videogames which proves the opposing sides statement false.
