X Ray
A high-frequency electromagnetic wave whose wavelength ranges from approx. 5 picometers to 10 nanometers. The energy of these photons can vary from a few eV (electronvolts) to tens of MeV. There are numerous applications to X-rays, including medical imagery and crystallography.
