Mea Wang
Mea Wang is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Calgary.

  • Mea Wang received her Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) degree with first-class honour from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Manitoba in 2002. She studied in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto from 2002 to 2008, and earned her MASc and PhD degrees in 2004 and 2008, respectively. Starting from May 2008, Dr. Wang joined the Department of Computer Science at the University of Calgary in Calgary, Alberta.
  • Dr. Wang’s research focuses on the design and development of networking systems and algorithms, with special interests in multimedia networking, cloud computing, network coding, online social network, and software defined networking. The goal is to improve the Quality-of-Service (QoS) and performance of Internet services.
