Complex Performance Feedback Loop
When a musician performs according to the instruction given on a score, a complex series of events take place in the form of a performance feedback loop that could rarely be implied in the explicit notation.
The musician upon interpreting the note or sequence of notes and other notational instructions must engage in a complex set of performance criteria in this sequence of stimulii

To elicit the individual note from the instrument and then place it in artistic context of the whole performance and the acoustic of the performance space

The information for the physical constraints of the performance space, the physiological and psychoacoustic characteristics of the performer and the mechanics of the instrument are not accounted for in the notation.

An AI performance system able to take account all of these parameters and provide a satisfactory result is doubtful.
