2. Sequential decision-making
Sequential decision-making means splitting decisions processes into smaller bits. The strategy therefore allows for a constant evaluation of previous decisions and enables possiblities to revoke or adapt decisions. This strategy is not possible when one option has to be chosen in an either-or-constellation.

The participants mentioned the following applications as suitable:

  • Testing dynamic pricing structures in public transport. Aim of this measure is to show that high-quality transport is a service that needs to be financed. It is also useful to test the willlingness to use and pay for additonal services such as door-to-door services or a higher frequency.
