The Mental Health Foundation [1] is a UK charity that informs and influences the development of evidence-based mental-health policy at the national and local government level. It helps people to access information about the steps they can take to look after their own mental health and empowers people to take action when problems are at an early stage. This work is informed by the Mental Health Foundationâs long history of working directly with people living with or at risk of developing mental-health problems [2]. The Foundationâs May 2016 report, âRelationships in the 21st century: The Forgotten Foundation of Mental Health and Wellbeingâ; explores the impact that relationships, including local community connections, can have on mental health and wellbeing [3]. |
