Notes from skype sessions:

[29/07/14 9:18:46 am] Dr Alexandra Hart: Deep listening: in blog post, David's theme principally. There are many voices to be heard, maps provide a means of representing those voices, showing that they are heard and allowing for action based on reflection on those voices.
[29/07/14 9:19:41 am] Dr Alexandra Hart: creating space to reflect!
[29/07/14 9:20:49 am] Dr Alexandra Hart: political debate and argumentation is Peter's focus, dialogue has been more David's focus
[29/07/14 9:23:01 am] Dr Alexandra Hart: debate and dialogue - mutually complimentary - debategraph = environment where the balance is struck. The graph of the debate = representing the voices.
[29/07/14 9:23:17 am] Dr Alexandra Hart: Korerograph
[29/07/14 9:25:11 am] Dr Alexandra Hart: Check youtube for videos on DB
[29/07/14 9:25:55 am] Dr Alexandra Hart: My description of using the tool - talk that is videod or the like - very useful.

[29/07/14 9:10:27 am] Dr Alexandra Hart: more detail on the social goals
[29/07/14 9:12:11 am] Dr Alexandra Hart: self-supporting since the beginning, have been established for 9 years
[29/07/14 9:12:59 am] Dr Alexandra Hart: the future of health in the US
[29/07/14 9:14:21 am] Dr Alexandra Hart: Peter's cabinet minister's pension and what David earns by mapping for organisations involved
[29/07/14 9:14:30 am] Dr Alexandra Hart: The support of family and colleagues
[29/07/14 9:15:13 am] Dr Alexandra Hart: DB is not trying to sell the software to anyone, just hope that it can make the world a better place
[29/07/14 9:16:01 am] Dr Alexandra Hart: Have a long term focus, continually learning and iterating, responsive to arising needs and emerging patterns in society.
[29/07/14 9:16:53 am] Dr Alexandra Hart: The more students who are familiar with DB, the more DB may promotes deep listening and decision making based on that.

[29/07/14 9:02:07 am] Dr Alexandra Hart: Blackboard - content and class management system, similar to Moodle and Canvas. Common login with Blackboard etc. being developed. Blackboard does not provide directly is the functionality that debategraph provides - the visual mapping, organisation and crosslinking is not the focus of Blackboard.
[29/07/14 9:07:35 am] Dr Alexandra Hart: Not a profit business or a non-profit business. Social entrepeuneurs in motivation, software always been free to use. Open to possibility of fomalising a model where social benefit is at the core. Peter, former minister of Higher Education and Social security and employment ... Australia

There are three common themes re: staff. 1) They are initially resistant and start asking me why DB and not Blackboard or A, B, C other options they are familiar with. 2) They want to understand the motivations of the co-founders and your backgrounds. I have known enough about you to represent you but not Peter. 3) They want to know how you finance DB and how you 'make your money'.
