Check In

Brian had Timothy, Mei Lin and Kennan for a meeting and walking tour of UCBerkeley last Friday.  Great fun was had by all.

Mei Lin will be traveling from the 15th to the 30th of September, and will be meeting with Linda Staheli in Washington DC

Jonathan requests an email from Kennan regarding Australia and it's entreprenuerial groups

Brian:  The paper was sent to HBR on Friday

Zhi Gng 'The Divining Soul' TV channel:  https://www.drsha.com/

Roberta:  Bioneer Conference

May be up in Marin County

Jonathan will look it up on the web

Roberta:  Have been giving thoughts to several items, including the Bioneer Conference (Oct 17-19th)

Franchise for Humanity is always on the periphery.  A website would be a valuable asset.  Some questions on how we proceed with that.  An incredible woman (Lisa) who does Roberta's web site.  Very goog about tracking her clients.  Called Roberta when her website disappeared.  Asked if she knew Doug Engelbart - turns out that she

was head of IT at Logitech and Doug had the office next to her.  Works a lot with non-profits

Mei Lin;  I would like to invite Roberta to be part of the planning committee for the 2015 F4H; wants to put committee together in the next month.

Roberta:  On one of the early calls, has come across this phrase:  'organizations are known by the awards they give'

~

Mei Lin:  Would like to move to the next level:  what would you like to report on Next Tuesday?

Background - Community Health Centers - 9,000 of them - used the format of saying what they would do 'by next Tuesday

Mei Lin will be at the social shake-up conference in Atlanta.  By next Tuesday she hopes to have some ideas to bring back to F4H about what the Social Shake-up implies for F4H for Sep 23rd.

Tammy:  If there are any updates you'd like me to post, please send them by Sunday night and I will add to the notice

Feedback:  Brian - in these calls has been saying he wanted to do the article; got it done.  By next Tuesday he will have a two page concept paper for Mei Lin's trip.  Will be entitled 'community health metrics project'

Denise:  Working on 3 mous for three new partners.  Commitment - to get them back from her attorney.  One in Canada and two American companies.

Kennan:  To have the Design Lab elements in place - vision is to open up governments, institutions, etc to a new way of doing work

~

Final Words

Mei Lin:  Gratitude for each of you fellow travelers on what is sometimes a rocky and steep path.  It's so wonderful to be with

other people climbing big hills too.

Brian:  You cannot only think, you must act

Denise:  Teamwork and productivity.  Teamwork is the dream work and be productive along the way.  Increase efforts and delegation

Jim:  Inspiration that so many of you are doing many things like I am, and you seem to be getting things done.  Seems overwhelming

but it's inspiring to see people doing them.

Kennan:  Hope
