Domitila Carvalho was born on the 10th of April of 1871, in Lisbon.
In 1904, she became the first woman to obtain a doctoral degree in Portugal. She graduated in Medicine, from the University of Coimbra, with a classification of 16 out of 20.
She died on the 11th of November of 1966.
Domitila Carvalho nasceu a 10 de Abril de 1871 em Travanca da Feira, Lisboa. Foi a primeira mulher a doutorar-se em Portugal, em 1904. Obteve o doutoramento em Medicina, com 16 valores, na Universidade de Coimbra.
Mulher notĂĄvel, Ă© referida como presença ilustre na comemoração do centenĂĄrio do nascimento do QuĂmico portuguĂȘs Roberto Duarte Silva, evento realizado a 3 de Março de 1937 em Lisboa.
Morreu a 11 de Novembro de 1966.
