HWT-PT only: Gendlin's theory of the generation of meaning

A brief understanding of Eugene Gendlin's theory of the generation of meaning will need to be taught to practitioners to assist them to unpack how their clients have come to make sense and make meaning out of their illness experience.

This does not need to be in the sort of depth as my thesis presents but it needs to be more practically focused. Using examples to illustrate Gendlin's ideas will help.

Practitioenrs will be required to apply this theory to several of their own experiences. This can be done in group work and in reflective journalling.
