Kate Millet's concept of internalisation is an early expression of what Thompson furthers in his concept of Enculturation. Taking Thompson/Varela's developments back into a feminist context and a context concerning difference more generally stands to illuminate how process of oppression and suppression operate and how they can be counteracted. |
