Common but differentiated responsibility
Each country commits to play a specific role in meeting global goals. For example, poor countries pledge to end absolute poverty; rich countries pledge to help pay for it through aid, finance or changing international trade rules.

Developed countries commit to help with finance, policy change, trade, transparency. LICs and MIC pledge to work nationally to abolish absolute poverty by 2030." (Cox, 2013)
