Belief that computers are entirely predictable is based on false assumption that humans can know everything that follows deductively from a set of premises. But humans learn new things in part through the working out of deductive consequences.
Alan Turing, 1950. Similarly, humans don't know everything that a computer will do given some initial state of the computer, we learn new things in part by watching them perform their calculations.
