This project uses only some of the DebateGraph features. The following is intended to orient our project participants without bogging you down with those features we will not be using.

Display (tab appears at top right of Map panel)
This allows you to view the data in different formats. NOTE: DebateGraph currently is undergoing development and the "+Display View" is a mess. Stick with the "+Display Hub". If you find yourself in a situation where the normal choices in the right hand panel and top and bottom of the screen are not available, you are in "+Display View". Run to the nearest exit by hitting the "Back" button on your browser or by selecting "Focus" from the "Bubble" menu
A Bubble view shows a map consisting of circles and arrows. For now, stick with the "Focus" view (The other two choices put you into "+Display" which is for reading rather than working on the graph)
- "Box" or indented text view
A Box view shows text (title and summary data from the circles) in an indented list format. The "All" view toggles between Show / Hide Summaries. To get a full list of all Statements of Importance, email the All view to yourself, then click Print and either print a hardcopy or click PDF for a file on your computer.
- "Details view" For now, avoid this choice, it puts you into the "Display" view which is curently under development and is confusing.
Right Hand Panel - Details: show text associated with currently highlighted circle or item in Context
- Context: shows all circles in map as an indented list. Most heavily weighted items are at top.
- Stream: Chronological list of changes to the DebateGraph
- The rest of the tabs: they are probably self explanatory
Navigating DebateGraph - Finding a given map
- When you login, go to the Search tab, then the button for Graphs and Bookmarks. That will list anything you belong to, plus things you bookmarked. To find maps owned by a particular individual, put their name in the Search box.

- Click on a circle to see all of its satellite circles.

Adding to the map: "Add Idea" New circles get added to the map via the "Add Idea" at the bottom of the map. BEWARE: The "Add Idea" will be attached to the circle that is highlighted when you click "Add Idea". If you attach your new idea to the wrong circle and need to get rid of it, make sure it is highlighted and then click "delete" at bottom left. alternatively, you can use the Move function to shift it to where it belongs (Move is one of the options along the bottom of the map screen, see below for additional explanation of Move).
Text Boxes There are four different types of text entry boxes
1. Title: the title of a circle that appears on the map
2. Summary: a short paragraph that appears when the mouse hovers over a circle
3. Details: a large box for details. Available via the "Details" tab.
4. Comments: these are comments attached to the circle, available via the "details" and "comments" (at the bottom of the "Details"
Moving circles This function allows you to move a circle. What this does is delete an arrow and create a new one. There are four steps in the process:
1. Highlight the circle to be moved.
2. Click on
