Best Children's Online Content - European Award 2011

On 17 June, at the Digital Assembly, the European winners of the Best Children's Online Content competiton will be announced.

Children in Europe are on average starting to use the Internet at the age of 7 but only one in three 9-12 year olds feel that there are enough "good things for kids" of their age online.

That is why the European Commission, together with Safer Internet Centres from 14 countries, has launched the first European Award for Best Children's Online Content.

A jury will select the European winners from the winners of the national competitions from the 14 participating countries. You can already have a look at the national winners online.
