Large scale protests in Egypt were organized largely independently
Large scale protests were organized and coordinated largely over the internet and independently of Egypt’s traditional opposition, particularly the Muslim Brotherhood, who only offered moral support. The protest was not an Islamic protest, just everyday Egyptians getting angry.
