Bonding, group

A feeling of confidence or trust among members of a group, which depends on prior experience with each other.

Members of the same credit union have an affinity, not a close bond, whereas members of a SWAT team must trust others with their lives, so either they form a close bond, or have trouble performing. A close bond is a major ingredient in “high morale.”
