Reconstruction

The effects created by the particles in the materials they pass through are recorded. The data are then analysed to reconstruct the chain of events, from the initial collision to the exiting of all the newly produced particles from the detector. This stage, called reconstruction, requires comprehensive knowledge of the physical phenomena involved, as well as of the behavior of the detector when each type of particle passes through it.
