Data Analysis

In the physics of the infinitely small, the study of a dataset recorded by a detector and the use of the provided information to search for a specific phenomenon, e.g. the decay of a particle into two others. If the phenomenon is observed, the analysis consists in measuring its properties with the highest precision. Most often, analysis results are published in an international scientific journal, along with a detailed report on the methods used to achieve them.
