Strong Interaction

One of the four forces existing in nature, along with electromagnetism, weak interaction, and gravitation. It is responsible for the confinement of quarks within hadrons and for the stability of an atomic nucleus. As the name suggests, it is the most intense force, even though its range is restricted to the subatomic world.
