Nancy Bergeron
Nancy is currently Senior Talent Advisor with the Community of Federal Regulators (CFR) of the Government of Canada, contributing to Cost-Benefit Analysis training programs for federal public servants.
- Nancy holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland where she specialized in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics. As Senior Economist with Transport Canada’s Motor Vehicle Safety Directorate, she added health and safety to her experience, as well as security when she later built and managed a centralized Cost-Benefit Analysis team, dealing with regulatory proposals for all transportation modes. At Measurement Canada, her work turned to issues of market confidence and fairness in trade.
- Nancy has previously volunteered with the US National Academy of Sciences’ Transportation Research Board’s Transportation Economics Committee (2014-2016), she was Co-Chair of the CFR’s Cost-Benefit Analysis Community of Practice (CBA-CoP, 2017-2020), and she is now Chair of Professional Development Initiatives on the Board of Directors of the Society for Benefit-Cost Analysis (2020-present).
