Anna De Liddo

Open University, Knowledge Media Institute

I am Research Associate at KMi (Knowledge Media Institute), The Open University, in Milton Keynes (UK), working with Simon Buckingham Shum in the "Collective Intelligence Project". Current research plans aim at investigating how new media can shape the development of collective intelligence to cope with complex environmental matters such as global warming and climate change. The research project will have his first milestone in the ESSENCE conference in April 2009 in Edingurg.

I have a background in Civil Engineering, a Master in Environmental Policy and Management and a PhD in Environmental and Urban Planning.

My research interests are in new technologies supporting knowledge representation, structuring and management, particularly with regards to collaborative decision-making processes in Environmental and Urban Planning domain. My PhD centred on tracing the "memory" of a collaborative process of design.

Also, I am part of the Hypermedia Discourse group, Global Sense Making (GSm) network and of the Compendium team.
