Carolyn Fischer
Carolyn Fischer is the Canada 150 Research Chairholder in Climate Economics, Innovation and Policy at the University of Ottawa. She is also a professor of environmental economics at the Vrije Universiteit – Amsterdam, senior fellow with Resources for the Future, CESifo Research Network fellow, and Council Member for the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists.
- She is co-editor of Environmental and Resource Economics and serves on expert advisory boards for the Canadian Institute for Climate Choices, Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change (MCC–Berlin), the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC), and Economics for Energy in Spain. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan—Ann Arbor in 1997.
