pros/cons vs supporters/detracters
One idea I had is to distinguish the following entity types:
- pros/cons - attached directly to options/ideas, highlighting their strengths and weaknesses
- supporters/detracters - a tree of claims attached to a pro or con, representing the debate about whether it is true or not
This makes the ontology bigger, increasing the learning curve, but it does think I distinguish between two logically differing map roles (evaluation vs arguments) and may thus reduce confusion overall.
