The existence of NWS stimulates NW proliferation.

Exactly the same "security" motivations that drive existing NWS also drive NNWS to acquire the same "security". Would the world be more secure if every country had NW? Clearly not, because the existing risk of N-War by tension / misunderstanding / technological failure would be multiplied.
