John Philpin

Founder of People-First and Beyond Bridges.

My formal roles have tended to find me in the customer / market facing sides of businesses in the software industry - though my real role is that of translator. Sitting at the boundaries and intersections of business and technology, sales and marketing, start up and customer .... always seeking to understand one side of the boundary so that the other side can best understand and discover the value.

CitiCorp, Oracle, Vitria, Lyris, Group Partners have all been by homes over the years - as well as many consulting clients in Europe and US.

People First helps people and organizations shape institutional thinking and action so that people come first.

Businesses and institutions engage us to develop processes and shape organizational thinking that ensures people really are first in a company’s supply chain, community and market.

People attend our workshops, seminars and read our white papers. Our thinking prepares them to engage organizations in the workplace as employees and as customers in the emerging intention economy.

The Business Equation is the balance of these two constituencies and at the core of our approach. It is impossible to focus on one side of the equation and not the other.
