France's aversion to the idea of eliminating all nuclear arsenals

France is openly very skeptical about the notion of a full elimination of nuclear weapons, which it sees as a very distant idealistic goal. France welcomes the US-Russia arsenal reductions, but favors a wait-and-see attitude regarding how far they will go.
