The Japanese bubble popped in 1990, with deflationary fallout ever since. Then Long Term Capital; the Asian bubble; Dot Com; Telecom; "Enronic scams;" and the Global Financial Meltdown (Greece, Iceland, et al). We have Great Cost Bubbles; like GM, Health Care, Defense, plus many minor ones.
