Many of these are now used for process design and improvement in all kinds of organizations, beginning with just "asking why 5 times," seeking root cause, not jumping to conclusions; then with frameworks like: PLAN-DO-CHECK-ACT, DMAIC, 8D, and other evidence-based learning methods.
