Improve qualilty of life to an industrial society equivalent globally

This ambition makes the other objectives of Compression really tough. Any version of an industrial society quality of life for billions of people will require them to use more materials and energy, not less. So to balance out global usage, old industrial societies need to cut usage well below half.
