How the Aliens could visit us.

What is an Alien? Something other-worldly. How can they possibly visit us when faster than light travel is forbidden? By reaching us only as consciousnesses.

Here's a thought experiment (literally!). Have a thought, any thought, say, "The ocean is blue." Now you can sing it to a tune of your choosing in your "thought-voice," "say" it in a deep "thought-voice," a high one, and even, if you know another language, think it in a different language. The question is: Where are your thoughts in the physical Universe? We have examined it from the quantum level to the concept of the multiverse and found no reservoir of thoughts. So where are they?

Now, thoughts are just an indicator of consciousness. But if we could locate them, maybe we could start to pin down where consciousness is. Let's say it exists as vortices of energy below the Planck length border. That's the only place we haven't looked for thoughts. And as for vortices: well, why not?

This, then, is how the Aliens could visit us. They could travel as vortices of energy through an ocean of energy and connect to our thoughts. Who's to say they are not already here?
