Recovery from psychosis involves restoration or development of " functional capacity" to promote and maintain "independence" and sense of well-being, consistent with one's personal and significant-others" view of recovery , without presenting any "at risk status," with or without any residual "atypical thinking symptoms" associated with psychosis, which do not affect functioning." Recovery may be maintained with or without any continued psychiatric support service involvement.
