Mental Health Foundation
The Mental Health Foundation [1] is a UK charity that informs and influences the development of evidence-based mental-health policy at the national and local government level. It helps people to access information about the steps they can take to look after their own mental health and empowers people to take action when problems are at an early stage. This work is informed by the Mental Health Foundation’s long history of working directly with people living with or at risk of developing mental-health problems [2]. The Foundation’s May 2016 report, ‘Relationships in the 21st century: The Forgotten Foundation of Mental Health and Wellbeing’; explores the impact that relationships, including local community connections, can have on mental health and wellbeing [3].
