European Agency for Safety and Health at Work
EU-OSHA [1] is the European Union information agency for occupational safety and health, which works ‘to make European workplaces safer, healthier and more productive — for the benefit of businesses, employees and governments’ [2]. Initiatives include two-year Healthy Workplaces Campaigns to raise awareness about different occupational safety and health topics across Europe – the current campaign (2016–17) is on ‘Healthy Workplaces for All Ages’, and the 2014–15 campaign was on managing stress in the workplace [3]. Online risk assessment tools are provided for SMEs to assess and manage risks in the workplace; overviews, foresight projects and short films are also produced on key topics . Each EU country has a ‘national focal point’ for EU-OSHA – in the United Kingdom, that is the Health and Safety Executive [4].
