TRANSFORMING THE ARTS

Many great women artists, writers, musicians and dancers have brought joy to the world.  In the process, some of them also transformed their particular discipline in the process, often taking a transformative approach; for example, Isadora Duncan’s focus on the artistry of natural movement was at odds with the rigid discipline of ballet.
