10.2015 How the use of DG changes the world.
October 2015: DG allows us to store thought patterns as a set of nested concept dolls and not merely as coiled rope.

DG is the best thought processor on the market. It changes the world by forever altering our perception of what constitutes thought. Thought used to be about constructing "sentences": linear narratives of thoughts strung together and stored like coiled rope. DG allows us to create building blocks in which whole concepts are stored in a single container. It does this through the use of hierarchy and in this sense the most important parts of DG are the links with their downward pointing arrows. DG allows us to store not coiled ropes but nested dolls and in this way is much more powerful than simply multi-linear narrative. At every level there may be multiple partitions and at every level what is below is "contained" in the element to which it is attached. Thus the question: What shall we do about nuclear missiles? contains everything that feeds on it in a starburst pattern. The list of types of warhead, itself part of "U.K. Arsenal," itself part of "U.K. involvement," itself part of "European country deployment," itself part of "Background information (Europe)"; one, not strand, because that implies the coiled rope, but set of dolls attached to the primary question.
What does this give us? It gives us speed to move through the structure of an issue and, as we are wont to do when confronted by structure, allows us to examine the structure itself without deep reference to the contents in the same way we notice patterns of gaps in the colored bricks of a pattern wall. It also, through the flower-and-furl arrangement, gives us deep focus on any portion of the maps onto which our gaze has slowed and stopped. (By flower-and-furl I mean that each set of dolls can open and close to a specific doll at will.)
How does this change the world? Because it leads to action. If we know that we carry a comprehensive, even complete set of all nesting dolls contained in one all-encompassing doll, on our computer screens, in our electronic briefcase, then the only thing left to do is act.
DG is a system game-changer, a world-class tool for organizing thought systems so that we act to complete or build upon its structure.
