Ahmed Calvo

Dr. Calvo was Director of Medical Education and Medical Director at Scripps Memorial Hospital in Chula Vista; Chief Medical Officer of the San Ysidro Health Center, a large federally qualified health center network of community clinics on the U.S./Mexico border; and a member of the clinical faculty in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine.
A graduate from Stanford University and the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine, Dr. Calvo also completed several UCSD/San Diego State University Faculty Development Fellowships on the care of underserved communities; a master’s of public health on public health management; and multiple advanced practice fellowships, including the HRSA-funded National Leadership Fellowship at New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service, with the National Hispanic Medical Association.
