Guilhermina Morais Sarmento (1870 - ?)

Portuguese Physician.

 

Guilhermina Morais Sarmento was one of the first Portuguese female physicians, having graduated in 1894, from Porto´s Medical-Surgical School, with a thesis entitled “The Dilatation of the Stomach”. She was the only woman among that year´s 28 graduates.


Guilhermina Morais Sarmento foi uma das primeiras médica Portuguesas, tendo-se licenciado em 1894 na Escola Médico-Cirúrgica do Porto com a tese A Dilatação do Estômago. Era a única mulher entre os 28 diplomados daquele ano.
