Operating in a foreign land when Headquartered in another country

A Japan based company with strong reputation for upholding their standards in product quality opens a series of branches in the US.

Despite the higher end quality brand earned over the companies history; upon opening legal entities in foreign countries these giants were faced with tremendous scrutiny by the local competition.

The fact the company was operating in the US was immediately a problem for the US Based companies in direct competition with audio and video components in both consumer and professional series offers. They opened offices, logistic centers, and campuses across the major metropolitan city in the US.

An interesting pattern emerged with the foreign based company in the US, the standards for auditors had far more scrutiny than the majority of companies being audited.

  • Customer Complaints were far more concern when raised with the international standards bodies.

In all cases of these size companies, we must assume the same is true in all foreign locations outside the Headquarters countries.  For this reason, it is vital to ensure these business models are consistent and universally applied to all of these types and sized businesses.

No two companies of this size or type; will have the same negotiated terms or conditions.

The 300 types of business in the largest companies in the world have both customer and supplier relationships across the 300 and into all government.

The company is only 1 company with a global footprint in many countries across the world.

  • Each country has at least one language and at least one currency.
