Profiling - Any form of profiling
Any law enforcement officer knows they are not allowed to profile the community members the officers are expected to protect and serve. Technology used to stalk people is a criminal offenseTampering or curating or transforming data at rest is a federal crime in the US.Not having a way to confirm the data in a data store or not having fine grain access features, not having the audit capability makes for a whole lot of data without context. Just raw data of no value
Wicked Problems
Justice systems are a human right for the equal treatment of all persons.
When justice system workers target low income or focus on communities of color with more resources in the low income parts of their jurisdiction, the injustice results from bias caused by humans. Ignoring the law each officer is sworn to preserve, by using technology to harm and oppress many is a criminal offense "stalking" or criminal charges we can use are applicable to those sworn to protect and serve. We unfortunately haven't applied the law equally in justice systems.
The civil unrest was again heard in a task force created to address 21st century policing-Racial Profiling (economic poverty - communities of color = racial profiling) was identified as the highest priority to address.
